Overview:
The Finance Support Manager assists with daily financial operations, ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures. Responsibilities include preparing monthly financial information and maintaining management accounts and payroll.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Creditors:
- Monitor and maintain the invoices mailbox
- Process supplier invoices/credit notes in the accounting system
- Ensure all invoices are valid tax invoices (where applicable)
- Assist in invoice approval with supporting documentation
- Load creditors for payment on the online banking profile
- Allocate payments and credit notes in the accounting system
- Liaise with creditors on account-related queries
- Prepare accrual schedules for management accounts
- Prepare creditor reconciliations
Payroll:
- Maintain employee files
- Onboard employees onto payroll software and update profiles
- Review incentive calculations from departments
- Prepare pay runs for review
- Upload ACB/CSV payment files to banking profile
- Process payroll journals in the accounting system
- Prepare payroll reconciliations for management accounts
Management Accounts:
- Prepare financial reports for review:
- Prepayments schedules
- Creditors reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Accrual schedules
- Assist in preparing timely financial reports for decision-making
- Ensure accounting records are complete and accurate
- Assist in preparing management accounts for the executive team
- Adhere to internal timelines for financial reports
- Assist with year-end audit of financial statements
Office Administration:
- Order general office supplies
- Liaise with suppliers on order status and account queries
- Ensure office facilities are maintained and serviced
General:
- Implement financial policies and procedures
- Stay updated with IFRS, SAICA, and other relevant standards
- Adhere to internal control and system procedures
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Requirements:
- Bcom Accounting degree or similar
- Postgraduate qualification advantageous
- 1-2 years post articles/bookkeeping experience
- Completed SAICA articles
- Payroll administration experience (Sage 300 People advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS)
- Understanding of best practice internal control and financial systems
- Knowledge of statutory regulations and standards
- Experience with accounting software (Xero advantageous)
